With the help provided by the VueMinder Pro calendar application you will find it easier to take control of your schedule and manage tasks and appointments. A good looking calendar is always at your fingertips, and you can easily add notes, appointments, reminders, and contacts into the calendar application.

The VueMinder Pro installation file weighs in at 13.2MB. Run the file once the download completes and a simple setup wizard will launch and guide you through the installation process. You will get to choose the installation directory, if you want a desktop shortcut, and if you want VueMinder Pro to automatically launch at startup. The application can be installed on Windows 7, Vista, XP, Server 2003, or Server 2008.

The first time you run the calendar program, you will be presented with a “Welcome to VueMinder” configuration wizard that will take you through the following steps: choose a window layout, configure proxy server settings if needed, add some starting calendars such as holidays, set up VueMinder to send email reminders, set up VueMindet to send text message reminders, configure default event and reminder settings.

VueMinder Pro displays a transparent calendar on your desktop and the calendar displays notes, reminders, tasks, and events. If you find that the desktop calendar takes up too much space, you can minimize it – you will see a small calendar that you can place anywhere you want on the screen. Or you can close the desktop screen and use VueMinder Pro’s regular calendar which can be accessed by double clicking the system tray icon.

There are three different VueMinder Editions to choose from: Lite, Pro, and Ultimate. The Lite version, which is free, lets you overlay multiple calendars, back up and restore data, save calendars as webpages, sync with Google Calendar, subscribe to web calendars, attach files to events, and import and export data. The Pro version adds the following extra features to the mix: create notes, manage tasks, share events over the network, synch with Outlook, link items with other items, view contact, event, and task lists, import and export Excel data, wrap titles in month view, customize event colors, define default reminder, send email, SMS and voice reminders, and print additional layouts. The Ultimate version does everything the Lite and Pro editions do, plus a few extra features: share notes, tasks, contacts over the network, define custom input fields, sync custom data over the network, import and export custom data.

VueMinder Pro takes a long list of powerful features and wraps them up in a good looking and easy to use interface, and for that it deserves to be called exceptional. It is just a properly good calendar application.
